Have you ever had one of those days when you intend to get so much done and then nothing gets done? I do. Today Patti picked me up and we headed for town to buy the paint for her cabinets. Our first stop was to stop and pick up Megan. She wasn't ready, so we wait at her place while she finishes. Next we stop at Julee's to check out her cabinets. We figured out what Patti was going to do, that took half an hour. Then of course we end up staying there and talking for a while. So off we go to town to buy paint. We get into town and Megan and I are hungry. We go to Subway. Another 20 minutes gone. Then as long as we are right there, we go to Maurices. Another half hour gone. Off we go to Walmart to pick up a "few" thiings. After not finding what we went for, and a few things we didn't go for, another hour gone. Well, let's check out some paint. Off we go to Hardware Hank. Nope, no stain there that Julee told us to get. Patti couldn't decide on a color either??? Let's check out Klingbeils. We get there and they are ready to close the doors. The kind man helps us with the primer and a brush. No time to pick out paint. We grab every sample paint brochure they have. The colors are more true when you're at home anyway, right? Then we head back up to the grocery store. You can't get groceries first, they will either melt or get too warm in the car. In the meantime, Chris calls Patti like 10 times asking her to pick up something else for him! We finally leave the grocery store and head home with our meager supplies for the cabinets. A day wasted? Not really. We had a good time anyway.
By the way, I know the picture of Felicity has nothing to do with this post. I just don't like to post without a pic. And besides, she's too cute not to put her on here.
Those types of days frustrate me too, but a day with your sister should be top of our lists anyway. Great catchlights in Felicity's eyes, she is such a cutie pie.
