Andy & Casey's Wedding

I'm finally back. It's been a busy, but wonderful weekend. I just can't believe it is over. The weather was beautiful and so was the wedding party. Here are a few sneak peak photos.

I absolutely love this last photo.

27 Years.........Wow

Today is our 27th wedding anniversary. That just seems crazy to me. I don't feel old enough to have been married that long.

We met when I was 14 and I have never had another boyfriend. I know that's odd but it worked for us. When we got married a lot of people said we were too young (18) and we would never make it. Believe me, the road to this point wasn't always easy. Marriage is hard work, but I have to admit as the years went on things for us have gotten easier.

We get along great and are definately best friends.

I love this guy.....
Here we are today, all grown up. Our kids are grown and moved out, we have a beautiful granddaughter, and another one on the way. Life is good.

Tomorrow is our son's wedding day. We adore the girl he is marrying, she is a sweetheart. We are excited for them to begin their journey in life and wish them the best. My biggest prayer for them is to become best friends forever, just like we have grown to become.

Happy Anniversary Hon,
Happy Life to Andy & Casey.

Happy Fall

Wow, today is the first day of fall already. Don't get me wrong, I love fall but it is just too close to winter for me. Does anyone else despise the cold? I'm kind of a boring person, I don't really like any outdoor activities. Especially the ones in winter; skiing, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, etc. So why do I live in Wisconsin where we have 8 months of not so warm weather? You're looking at her. My family and friends live here, that's why.

Colorama 2009

Every year a town just north of here holds a Bike Ride. They call it Colorama, because of all the beautiful fall colors. There are thousands of bikes that ride into this tiny town. People camp out in tents and campers for the weekend. We usually just go for a few hours in an afternoon. There's just something about riding around with a few thousand other bikes that is soooooo fun! I took this picture of us riding down the highway, now that's talent!

Check out my big fancy camera...

We were riding with Brian's cousin. I tried to get a few snapshots of him with the sunset.

After Colorama we know that the riding season is nearing the end. :-( Can't wait to ride again next year.

Pray for Grandpa Willie

Please pray for Kylee's Grandpa Willie.

Self Portrait

Here is Brian's version of a self portrait. There were many many more facial parts taken this day. I thought I would keep it to one, you are welcome.

Big Ugly Bug

This is another one of Brian's masterpieces. He came in from outside the other night and said, "You have to come and see this bug outside." I was all comfy on the couch so I didn't go. So of course he grabs the camera and runs out the door. Every time he does this he takes about 20 pictures of his "subject" and I have to go through and delete most of them. He usually comes up with a couple that are pretty cool. Does anyone know what this thing is?

Wedding news: Last night we went to Julee's and worked on centerpieces. We got there about 4:30 and of course didn't get started until about 6:00. (There was a lot of girl talk to do first) Then of course we were hungry and had to order in pizza, that took another half hour off our production time. Needless to say, we left there about 8:30 with about half of them done. Oh well, it gives us a chance to get together again tonight. Maybe we will be more focused!

The Ant and the Fly

I told you yesterday that Brian has been taking a lot of pictures. Well, here's another one. The tiny reddish ant was dragging the fly across our sidewalk. Did I mention that he loves to use the macro setting?? Stay tuned....I have many more to show you.

Andy and Casey's wedding is only 1 week and 4 days away. Holy Cow!! We are now in the final preparations.
Tonight we are working on centerpieces for the tables for dinner.
We sent out checks for the photographer and video girl.
I started tanning last week, can't be all whitey.
My hair color is on Tuesday, can't be all greyey. (I know that's not a word)
Next Wednesday we start decorating the hall.
I can't wait but I'm not ready for it to be over either. I will try to keep you updated on how everything is going.

Blog Hooky and Brian's Photos

I don't know why I have been slacking here for the last couple weeks. It's not that I don't have the time in the evening, it's pretty quiet here at night. My days are a little fuller now with Felicity here, Tracy took a long term sub job as a kindergarten teacher. Kylee also started preschool four days a week so I am dropping her off and picking her up. It's been a long time since I had such full kid filled days.

Brian has been taking photos like crazy. I think I got him addicted to taking pictures. I showed him how to put my little Canon point and shoot on the macro setting and now he takes pictures of everything. I will be posting some of them this week. I bet you can't wait.....some of them are "interesting" to say the least.

He took the one above too. I did a little photoshopping on it, but not much.

Flashback Friday

Since we all have wedding on the brain around here I thought I would post a few pictures from our wedding 27 years ago this month. We didn't have a professional photographer back in those days. My cousin Gayle took some pictures for us that day. Our bill for our photos was a whopping $65.00. I thought that was outrageous! That's what goes through the mind of an 18 year old broke farm girl. These are the best shots I could come up with from all our pictures. Also, since I just did the post of the "Five Forever Friends" I thought I would add them too, since they were all in my wedding.

Jodi and Roger , Maid of Honor and Best Man.

My sister Patti and Brian's brother Ken.

Nancy and Brian's cousin Kelly.

Kathy and my cousin Gary.
Brian's sister Shelby and his cousin Todd.

My niece Tonya and Brian's niece Patty.

A Determined Girl and a Scared Boy

We finally had a day when all three of our guys were home so we had a cookout for supper. As we were sitting around on the front porch Casey went and got the bat, ball, and glove. Here is Andy pretending he knows what he is doing.

His style doesn't quite look like he will make it to the major league.

The pitches all went to high you can't even see the ball in this picture, but Casey swung at every single pitch.

He kept saying he was scared when the ball would come at him. She did hit the ball pretty hard. I love his face in this picture. In case you can't really see it here it is blown up for a close up....

Such a big grown up guy so scared of a little softball...

She swung...

And swung with all she had. She did hit most of them.

When Cole got here this is what he was carrying. A bucket of beer on ice. Is this a Wisconsin redneck thing or do other people do this too?

Yummy.....

And last but not least...a video. Check out Chip (the dog), he would go get the ball every time so Andy wouldn't have to.

I love summer, or I guess it is kind of fallish around here already.

Sprinkler Fun

What do we do on hot summer days without a pool?  We get out the sprinkler and have some fun!         ...
