Flashback Friday

This photo was taken late in the year in 1986. I was terrible with writing dates on the back of pictures so most of my old photos I'm not sure of when they were taken. That's just one more reason to love digital.

You can see where Jack got all of his hair from. Andy already had a haircut by this time.

You can't see it very good on this photo but you can tell where Felicity got her little gap between her two front teeth.

Have a wonderful Memorial Weekend everyone!

Jack's Baptism

This past Sunday was an exciting day for all of us. Jack was baptized. Here he is in the arms of his Aunt Courtney watching as Pastor Pete poured the water into the baptism font.

He just stared at that water the whole time Pastor Pete poured it and prayed.

And now for the big moment...

He loved it....

Back into Courtney's arms.....a baptized child of God.

Jack and Pastor Pete.

A group shot of Jack with his Daddy and Mommy and all his Godparents.
What a lucky boy.

And more more shot of Jack with three of his four Great Grandmothers.

Photo Edits by "Dancing Barefoot on Weathered Ground"

On Saturday I visited one of my favorite blogs. "Dancing Barefoot on Weathered Ground"  She was having a "Your Photo, My Edit" day. I know she has tons of followers and I'm sure she received plenty of photos to edit. I gave it a shot and sent her two that Tracy took.

She edited them! I was so excited to see what Lynnette would do and the end results are gorgeous.

I dabble in editing in PSE7 and have tons to learn. I just can't seem to get this look though. Lynnette's daughter, Abigail, actually did this one of Felicity. They are both awesome!

You can go to Lynnette's website to see the before and after. Thanks Lynnette!!

I'm Baaaaaack!

So where have I been you ask? I have to tell you a little story first.

Two days before Mother's Day I spent the day mowing our lawn. This is a view from the back of the house. You can't really tell how much lawn we have to mow from this picture, but it is A LOT! It takes me 5 hours twice a week.

Anyhow......I absolutely love summer. I impatiently wait every spring for the temps to start hitting the 70s and 80s. This day it was about 70....not warm enough for me yet but I'll take it.

Then I woke up the next morning to this.............

That was enough for me. Since Brian had been gone on the road for a month already at this time, (which is pretty unusual for him) I called him up and said, "I am flying out to D.C. to meet you."

I bought a ticket that day and flew out on Mother's Day.

Now this was no vacation let me tell you. There was a lot of work involved during the week. This is what I saw a lot of........traffic.

I got a little bored sometimes....

Why does this always happen right in my line of sight?  UGH!

After a week of loading and unloading the semi trailer we finally hit Chicago.

Ahhhh, the sign for Wisconsin. Almost home.

I have one thing to ask everyone out there. Do you drive in this traffic every day? This would drive me crazy! Our little one horse town of 4,000 people doesn't have this issue. Heck, I remember when we got our first stop light. I think we are up to 5 now!

I can't wait to get back to all of you and see what you have been up to. I have missed the blog world terribly.

And I can't forget....thanks to Patti for filling up a little of my dead air on my blog while I was away. (I'm just not to sure about that picture she picked out.) Hehehe. Thanks Patti

After a week of riding around in that bumpy truck, holding my pee, and not knowing when my next shower was............I was sure glad I got to spend the extra time with this guy.....Love ya honey! Thanks for the ride.

Visitor's Pass

Hello bloggy friends.
Jules is MIA and she has given me a "Visitor's Pass" to post something on her blog.

Julie is my sister and she called me yesterday and asked me to come up with a story to post since she has not had access to her computer in the last week while out on the road.  She also needs your prayers and sympathy since she is going thru some severe Blogging withdrawals right now.

So, I had to think for a while what I could post about Julie.  I'm sure if you are current readers of Julie's blog you all know there have been several pictures of me from the "good old days" so I contemplated if I should use this opportunity to get some revenge.....but I couldn't do that.  I love my sister dearly so here is a FUN story about her.

For those of you who know Julie, we all know that she does not know how to whistle.  Her idea of whistling is to yell as loud as she can and say, "WHIR WHRIT!"  She also passed on this wonderful talent to her children.  We were at Tracy's bachelorette party a few years back and guess what Julie learned to do, she learned how to whistle.  Here she is at the table when we out to eat and practicing what she learned.  By the way it was a "Western Theme" party, thus the cowboy hat and sheriffs badge.

Gotta love that great smile!!  Love ya Jules and see ya soon.

Flashback Friday

This is only half of a flashback. We are always trying to figure out who Jack looks like. I actually think he looks like Brian sometimes. So I went digging for some pictures of Andy when he was about the same age.

They definitely have the same smile.

Little Diva

This was taken a few months ago before church one morning. I love how she loves to dress up. Just like her mommy did.

A Night With Jack

Friday night Jack got to spend his first overnight with me. We had a great time playing and "talking" the evening away...just the two of us.

Sprinkler Fun

What do we do on hot summer days without a pool?  We get out the sprinkler and have some fun!         ...
