What's Under There?

Little Jack man is growing up in a world of girls, just like his Daddy did. There are a few things that come with that. Like wearing tutus and playing with dolls. (He really does play with cars, trucks, and other boy toys.)

He came across Felicity's American Girl doll the other day and this is what we found him doing.

I'm not sure what he thought he was going to find under there.

Impatiently Waiting

It has been a very cold and very snowy winter this year so far. I know we have a good two months of this left, but I am still itching for spring. Winter keeps me pretty much homebound as I've never liked the cold or any outside winter activities...

On the other hand, one of Brian's favorite activities is ice fishing. He goes a lot with his Dad. You can read about one of their fishing adventures from last year here.

A couple weeks ago I decided to dust off and open up my sewing machine. I haven't made anything for years. I used to sew a few things for my kids when they were little.

I bought a pattern, got some fabric and headed to my mom's house. I had no idea how to read a pattern anymore. Mom actually cut out all the pieces for me.☺

It actually only took me a couple hours and I had these cute little pajamas done for Felicity. They are a little short. Oh well, the next pair will have to be longer.

Other than that, I spend my days at home. Pretty much every day our three beautiful grands come over. (since we all live on the same 100 acres) Love that!

I think I'm ready to start working on our 2010 taxes..........yuck. There is a lot to do when you are self-employed. If I wasn't such a procrastinator they would be done already. But hey, I have until April 15th.

What do you do to fill your days in these long, cold, and snowy days?

Just to let you know.....we have another 3-5 inches of snow coming in later today!

Jesus Shows Up in the Oddest Places

We had a little accident here the other day. Felicity fell face first onto my ceramic tile floor. After all the blood was cleared she had quite a big gash in her lip. What a very scary and horrible experience for her at the ER!

When we got back home I took her into the bathroom to show her the stitches. She smiled and said,

"Jesus is on my face!"
(the stitches made a cross)

Meet Me On Monday

Blogging  is a funny thing...we tell our most intimate thoughts for all to read  and yet most of the time we find ourselves sitting and wondering, "who is  this person!?"  I know them...but yet I don't know them!  I want  to know who the person is behind all those words so I thought I would join Java at Never Growing Old for Meet Me on Monday for a great  way for all of us to "meet" each other!

Questions:

1.  What is your favorite kind of fudge?
2.  Is there snow outside your window?
3.  What is your favorite meal of the day?
4.  Do you text on your cell phone?
5.  Waffles or pancakes?
---------------------------------------------------------------

My answers:

1. What is your favorite kind of fudge?
Plain chocolate....with NO nuts. Nuts do NOT belong in fudge.
(or in any food for that matter)

2. Is there snow outside your window?
Yep, sure is.....
and it can all go away.

3. What is your favorite meal of the day?
Breakfast, because it includes COFFEE.

4. Do you text on your cell phone?
Yeah baby........
and yes I still have my green and yellow polish on from the big game yesterday!

5. Waffles or pancakes?
Chocolate chip pancakes rule.

Photoshop Fun

I got a new Photoshop a few weeks ago and it sure is addicting. Believe me, I am NO expert at this editing thing. I don't even know what most of the buttons are for. And all the terminology! Layers, filters, opacity.....oh my! I'm so confused. The one thing I have figured out is actions. I love them. They do all that other confusing stuff for me. Now I am a free action downloading queen. These are a few of my favorites from the hundreds of pictures I have "messed" with in the last couple weeks.

Most of these are taken with my tiny palm sized point and shoot. I haven't hit the big time camera club yet. A couple of them Tracy took with her Nikon D90.

Questions:

1.  Do you like your ice cream in a dish, waffle cone, pretzel cone, sugar cone or cake cone?
2.  Do you read the newspaper daily?
3.  Marinara or meat sauce?
4.  Last time you cried?
5.  What word/phrase do you find really annoying?
---------------------------------------------------------------

1. Do you like your ice cream in a dish, waffle cone, pretzel cone, sugar cone or cake cone?
I love my ice cream in a bowl smothered in caramel.

2. Do you read the newspaper daily?
That would be pretty tough to do around here. I have no interest in the bigger papers and our local newspaper only comes out once a week. I just look at the pictures and if something catches my eye I will read the article. I guess this is why I am not too much up on what is going on outside of my little world. (I used this paper because guess who that is in the red on the front cover? Me! I was helping wrap presents at our church for the local giving tree.)

3. Marinara or meat sauce?
Marinara for sure, I'm not too much of a meat eater.

4. Last time you cried?
I'm not a big crier so I don't remember. Things can tear me up, but it has to be pretty serious for me to actually cry.

Funny that this question came up today. I have a question for you ladies. For the last couple days my eye has been constantly watering. I mean to where I have tears running down my face. There's no pain or itching or anything. What the heck could this be?

5. What word/phrase do you find really annoying?
It doesn't get any more annoying than that. What happened to "I'm sorry"

Sprinkler Fun

What do we do on hot summer days without a pool?  We get out the sprinkler and have some fun!         ...
