The Last Four Days

For the last three weeks the wreath shop at my sister's has been going nonstop. Right now the shop is totally full of finished wreaths and kissing balls.

What is a kissing ball you ask?

These are kissing balls. They are kind of the "signature" of Poyda Tree Farm. We make and sell tons of these. The picture doesn't do them justice.............they are gorgeous. We make them in whatever color ribbon you prefer. Some even have lights in them.

Interested in one? Contact me and we can ship to anywhere in the states.

Friday I got to spend the day with Jack. He reminds me so much of his Daddy when he was little. So laid back and easy going.

Thursday night our family got together to celebrate my Dad's 78th birthday. We had tons of fun but I forgot to get my camera out and take some pictures. This is the best one I got of my parents at the end of the night. Oh well.

Then on Friday night Felicity got to spend the night with me. We always have so much fun together.

(and there is no spoiling at all that goes on around here..........hehehe)

Then...........Saturday morning Patti, (the Harry Potter freak) called me and asked if I wanted to watch ALL 6 of the Potter movies for a refresher before we go see the new movie. Now I had read the first couple books but that's it. I had seen the first 2 movies.........but that's it!

We got through the first three on Saturday. Those are some loooooong movies. We had to resort to some pretty serious chocolate later in the day. I am so confused.

Sunday morning we got up (yep, she even spent the night) and started right into the next movie. I didn't know if I could go on. I felt like I had a Harry Potter hangover. By about four o'clock we were down to just one more left. At this point there was no meals eaten, just plenty of coffee and of course more chocolate.

We decided it was time to break to shower and eat something.

After some pizza and some soap, we were ready to hit it again.

We finished the last one, said our goodbyes and went to bed. I think I am now ready to go see the newest movie in the theater this week. I think............

Here's an afterthought...........doesn't my Thanksgiving deco go great with the color of the wall in my dining room?

Now how do we fit 30 people around that tiny table on Thursday?

Total Randomness

I sat down this morning with good intentions of sharing an awesome post with you all. Well, I don't have anything super exciting to share so you are getting some more random stories.

First of all....I can't believe Thanksgiving is next week already. How does that happen?

I'm pretty excited about Thanksgiving this year. Usually we spend it with just a few of us that really don't have any other plans so we make our own. I decided to put an invite to a "Misfits Thanksgiving" on Facebook. I guess there are more misfits out there other than just us. So far we are at 18 adults, 3 children, and counting.

How fun is that going to be!!!!

I happened to notice the shadow Brian's buck was casting on the wall the other day. I know this is really a weird thing to take a picture of but I don't want to shelter you from any of the "excitement" going on around here lately.

Poor poor Jack. He is growing up in a world of girls just like his Daddy did....

 Winter is here...

Felicity at the doctor's office the other day. She is a perfect patient even when she is so sick. She just let the doctor do his whole exam without fighting him at all. Even when they had to do the blood draw she cried a little bit but what a little trooper. By the way she is totally well and fine now.

 Jack's first snow.

And little Miss Hadalye is the biggest smiler ever!

I Got Nothin'

I know, I know, it has been 10 days since I posted something on here. I'm sure you have all been missing me terribly. There are not many new pictures on my camera to share and not much to talk about.

I just have a few random things on my mind.....

The wreath shop started up at my sister's about 10 days ago and I've been working there a few hours a day. What a fun job it is! A few women locked in a garage, smelling balsam, and telling stories. Doesn't get any better than that.....

Felicity was running a fever on and off for a couple weeks so I went with Tracy on Tuesday to take her to the doctor. They ran a few tests and everything came back normal. It was confusing and frustrating. Then, wouldn't you know it the next day her fever broke and she has been fine since. Whatever!

It is snowing out right now and the ground is white..........yuck.

Everyone is gearing up for the big hunting season. Buck fever is in the air.........

Hmmmmm...........what else...................

Nothing, I guess. Now aren't you glad you just wasted a minute of your time? At least you got to see a super cute picture of Jack.

Tippy Toe Tutu

A few weeks ago I entered a giveaway on Butterflies and Dragonflies. And I won! Tonya from Tippy Toe Tutus sent me the most adorable tutu EVAH!

Of course we had to take a "few" shots of Felicity in the most adorable tutu. We have a little sickness around here....we can never take just a couple pictures at a time. I narrowed it down to these.

How Great Thou Art

My Dad has been playing the concertina since he was a boy. He is self taught. I have many memories of him playing for our family when we were younger and then again for our children as they grew up.

He doesn't get his beautiful concertina out very often any more, but when he does we still love to sit and listen to him play.

This past weekend he got it out when Felicity came to visit. She absolutely loved it! He played a few songs and she stood right in front of him and danced with her doll the whole time. I hope she remembers her Great Grandpa playing for her when she is older. If not, we have this video to show her when she is grown.

This is priceless.....

Sprinkler Fun

What do we do on hot summer days without a pool?  We get out the sprinkler and have some fun!         ...
