I got a new Photoshop a few weeks ago and it sure is addicting. Believe me, I am NO expert at this editing thing. I don't even know what most of the buttons are for. And all the terminology! Layers, filters, opacity.....oh my! I'm so confused. The one thing I have figured out is actions. I love them. They do all that other confusing stuff for me. Now I am a free action downloading queen. These are a few of my favorites from the hundreds of pictures I have "messed" with in the last couple weeks.
Most of these are taken with my tiny palm sized point and shoot. I haven't hit the big time camera club yet. A couple of them Tracy took with her Nikon D90.

Since I am sharing more of the photos from the wedding, I figured I should show off the bride and groom. This was hard to pick just a few.

You jump out of the truck, (with no jacket, wearing your Daddy's hat, and no shoes) to take a picture in the beautiful forest. Wait........
Very cool! I'm going to have to check it out! I've been using Picnik and enjoying that as well..
ReplyDeleteVery nice Jules! Have fun!
ReplyDeleteLove Di ♥
They are great! What cuties. Which version of Photoshop did you get Jules? They look awesome.
ReplyDeleteHey girl! It's been a very long time but I am so glad to get to come back a visit. Love, love the photos! I have never had Photoshop but am hoping that it will be a gift in the near future. It was neat to see what you had done with it. I want to eventually design digital scrapbook stuff. Just for fun.
ReplyDeleteHaven't been able to go back and catch up with all that I have missed over the last 6 months so I hope all is well with you and your family!
For not being a PS pro, you sure make these look fantastic. I've been trying a few actions here and there (since I can't figure out layers and curves and such either) but mine definitely don't come out looking as great as these. I thought it was the fault of my point-and-shoot, but apparently not, if your getting such great results using the same. I think I need to practice more. No, I KNOW I need to practice more. Thanks for the nudge!
ReplyDeletegreat pictures
ReplyDeleteWow...I love what you've done with all those pictures! I have Photoshop 7 and I've yet to sit down and figure it out...I'm so intimidated by it!
ReplyDeleteBEAUTIFUL! I just got Elements for Christmas and haven't had time to even put it on my computer. You are doing fabulous with these. That first picture is to die for. When you have good subjects and as good of a natural eye as you have photoshop is just a bonus. These are sure to be a treasure to your grandkids.
ReplyDeletei have photoshop too...elements 8. what do you have? What are the actions? I haven't seen those..or maybe I did and just didn't know it. IN case you wondered...I got Photoshop for Dummies for christmas! ha!
ReplyDeleteGood job! I took a PhotoShop course about ten years ago ... what a hard program to conquer (I didn't ... ha!).
ReplyDeleteHappy blogoversary :)
You did great! I bought Photoshop Elements 8 a few months ago and haven't fiqured it out yet!
ReplyDeleteGirl 27 below?? Are you kidding me? And getting groceries in that weather is the worst...you have to load them in your car. I cried one year doing that. I'm sorry. Hopefully spring isn't too far away right??
ReplyDeleteYou are getting good with Photoshop. I've heard it is super complicated. I use Picnik because I don't have the patience to learn something hard like that. They look fabulous. I especially like the first picture in the set of the striped hooded ones. His eyes are sooooo blue!
Great WORK
ReplyDeleteI love them all..especially the blue eyes and that baby with the hair! :D
ReplyDeleteSounds like you had a good time practicing and learning! How fun! I love doing stuff like that, I just need to learn more. I use Picnik to do a few little things, but definitely need to learn a LOT more!
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend Jules ;)
PS...the pictures are precious...the kids are so cute!
I think I will HAVE to learn more about Photoshop. I am in awe!
ReplyDeleteFun! Have you ever checked out any of The Pioneer Woman's photo tutorials? She's a good teacher :)
