A Rough Week

For those of you who don't know Kylee let me share her with you.

A few years ago we had some new neighbors build a house close to us. Our daughter became friends with them and ended up taking care of their brand new baby when her mom went back to work. Tracy was still living at home so of course we got to know that little baby pretty well. That fall Tracy had to go back to college and Kylee was going to a public daycare. Oh No she wasn't, not if I could help it! We fell in love with that baby and couldn't let her go. Our kids are grown and I stayed at home. A perfect match. She has been in our lives ever since. Brian and I are her Godparents, which is a great honor. Kylee is like our third child, just many years later. (our youngest is 23)
On to this past week. Last week Kylee was very sick and ended up with pneumonia. While she was trying to get better her Grandpa got sicker. He passed away on Thursday. She loved her Grandpa Willie. The funeral was yesterday and today it is "back to normal." I will be taking her to preschool in a few hours and hopefully she can get right back in to it. She hasn't been there for a week. You can check out Kylee's blog to see more pictures of her and her family.

If you have a moment, please pray for Kylee and her family.

  5. It's good to here that Kylee is better! I'm glad she recovered from the pneumonia. Some children can seem like your own without them being a blood relative.
