His Favorite Winter Activity
In case you missed it on Monday, I am posting pictures this week that my hubby has been taking. I thought I would give you a different perspective of winter here in Wisconsin.
He leaves the house at the crack of dawn. A beautiful sunrise to start his day.
The morning is quiet and the trees are frosty. The temperature is -7 degrees.
They drive out onto the lake where there are lots of temporary shacks.
Next it's time to unload the "gear."
Let the drilling begin!
Watch your step! This is the hole for fishing. The ice is about 2 1/2 feet thick.
Once the poles are set in the water, they wait...
until someone catches a fish. This is Brian's Dad, who still loves to fish too.
Do you know what this is? Let me know in a comment if you do.
The poles are ready, and they wait some more...
and wait.............
and WAIT!!!
and here's another one for the experienced fisherman. It was too small to keep.
Time to head home. It was very windy and cold. Not what I would want to be doing.
He gets home and spends time with Chip.
Here's the beautiful sunset at the end of this blessed day.

Dog Sled Races
Saturday Brian hopped on the snowmobile and drove back to where the sleds came through. It is pretty cool to watch them.
I am going to call this week "Through Brian's Eyes." He has been taking pictures for me lately and I am going to share them with you all this week. Be ready for a "different" perspective of life in Wisconsin. I pretty much hibernate for 5 months and he is a total outdoors kind of guy.

Grand March - Evolution of Dance
Yes, I am still going through wedding photos....For the Grand March at Casey and Andy's wedding they did
If you haven't watched the video yet, go do it now. (it is the youtube video they copied, not them) I still laugh every time I watch it and I've seen it many times. The wedding party is huge and I think that's what made it so fun to watch. Some of them had practiced the week before and some of them had never seen the video.

Baby Shower
Isn't this the cutest cake you ever saw? It had raspberry filling in it. The cake also gives you a peek at what Jack's room looks like. We copied these animals from his blanket, traced them on the wall and painted them. Too cute!

Soon...so soon.

Not Such a Good Day
When we got there they immediately took us to a room and started her on a nebulizer. (I have no idea how to spell that) She didn't like it and cried through the whole thing. By the time that was done she was breathing a little better. Then they gave her an oral steroid and sent us to a room for observation. She finally fell asleep for about an hour. We sat in that "tiny" room for 5 hours! With an 18 month old! Yikes, that wasn't very fun. Then the doctor came in and said they wanted to admit her to the hospital because she wasn't improving like they wanted.
We were finally moved to a room at about 5:30. By that time, she was actually feeling a bit better. In the next couple hours she improved tremendously. She kept going to the door with her blanket and saying "ride". She wanted to leave that place.
At about 9pm the doctor came in and explained that we could leave if we felt comfortable taking her home. We did. She fell asleep immediately in the car, slept all the way home, and never moved while we took her into the house.
I don't have any pictures from the day's events so that's why you get one from a couple days ago. What did she have you ask? Croup. They told us she is just such a tiny girl that she doesn't have any extra room in her throat for all that swelling.
Tracy called this morning and Felicity slept through the night with no problems.
Thanks be to God.

Random Wedding Photos
It has been pretty uneventful around here lately so I haven't had much to post about. I decided to go back into some more wedding photos. These are just random pics that caught my eye as I went through them. This first one is from the reception. The dresses displayed here are mine, Carol (mother of the bride) and two of Casey's grandmother's dresses. (One is off to the right, you can't really see it) The curio cabinet in the corner has all of our wedding photos in it. It was such a beautiful display and there were many compliments with this idea.
A group shot at the church. Now that's a big wedding party.
Felicity making her grand entrance at the ceremony. Looks like she left her partner a bit behind. She stole the show for a few minutes.
Andy and the girls.I have so many many more pictures to share from this fabulous day. I will share more throughout the next few weeks.
Then it will be "BABY" time!
