So where have I been you ask? I have to tell you a little story first.
Two days before Mother's Day I spent the day mowing our lawn. This is a view from the back of the house. You can't really tell how much lawn we have to mow from this picture, but it is A LOT! It takes me 5 hours twice a week.
Anyhow......I absolutely love summer. I impatiently wait every spring for the temps to start hitting the 70s and 80s. This day it was about 70....not warm enough for me yet but I'll take it.
Then I woke up the next morning to this.............
That was enough for me. Since Brian had been gone on the road for a month already at this time, (which is pretty unusual for him) I called him up and said, "I am flying out to D.C. to meet you."
I bought a ticket that day and flew out on Mother's Day.
Now this was no vacation let me tell you. There was a lot of work involved during the week. This is what I saw a lot of........traffic.
I got a little bored sometimes....
Why does this always happen right in my line of sight? UGH!
After a week of loading and unloading the semi trailer we finally hit Chicago.
Ahhhh, the sign for Wisconsin. Almost home.
I have one thing to ask everyone out there. Do you drive in this traffic every day? This would drive me crazy! Our little one horse town of 4,000 people doesn't have this issue. Heck, I remember when we got our first stop light. I think we are up to 5 now!
I can't wait to get back to all of you and see what you have been up to. I have missed the blog world terribly.
And I can't forget....thanks to Patti for filling up a little of my dead air on my blog while I was away. (I'm just not to sure about that picture she picked out.) Hehehe. Thanks Patti
After a week of riding around in that bumpy truck, holding my pee, and not knowing when my next shower was............I was sure glad I got to spend the extra time with this guy.....Love ya honey! Thanks for the ride.
