Meet Me On Monday

Blogging  is a funny thing...we tell our most intimate thoughts for all to read  and yet most of the time we find ourselves sitting and wondering, "who is  this person!?"  I know them...but yet I don't know them!  I want  to know who the person is behind all those words so I thought I would join Java at Never Growing Old for Meet Me on Monday for a great  way for all of us to "meet" each other!

Questions:

1.  Have you (only you..not a group) ever won first place in anything?
2.  Are your toes always painted (sorry guys...this question for girls only)?
3.  What color eyes do you have?
4.  Look to your left....what do you see?
5.  Soft cookies or crunchy cookies?
---------------------------------------------------------------
My Answers!

1.  Have you (only you...not a group) ever won first place in anything?

I don't think I've ever won first place in anything. I'm not competitive at all so I don't ever do anything that I would have a chance to win first place.

The only thing I ever remember winning is an autographed picture of Garth Brooks. My cousin works at a country music radio station and he got the chance to meet him. He had him autograph it specifically for our family reunion. I even have pictures of him while he was signing it with my cousin. I think it's pretty cool.
It says, "To the Westrich family. Stick together. God bless you all. Garth Brooks"

2. Are your toes always painted?

Always...........(not showing you a picture of my long ugly toes)

3. What color eyes do you have?

Blue, but not quite like this. I've been having fun in my Photoshop lately....

4. Look to your left.....what do you see?

A wall. I'm in my office at my desk.

5. Soft cookies or crunchy cookies?

No doubt.............soft.
Felicity helped me make some of those soft cookies yesterday.

I came into the kitchen and this is what I saw.............what is she doing?

She takes after her GG...........yummy dough.

Where's the Lamb?

I have a cute story I wanted to share with all of you.

Felicity spent the night at our house last night so she could ride along to take Kylee to school today. This is a big deal around here.

She had to put on a pretty dress with matching leggings. (Even though no one was going to see her "outfit" under her winter clothes.)

Once we got into Kylee's classroom, Felicity just stood there. Didn't say a word. She just stood as still as a statue while Kylee unloaded her backpack and hung up her jacket.

When it was time for us to go she didn't want to leave. I told her we had to go back home so the teacher could start the class.

She would not go.

Finally, she looked at the teacher and said, "Where's the lamb?"

The teacher looked at me and I said I didn't know what she was talking about. She kept insisting on seeing the lamb before we left. After trying to convince her for a few minutes that there wasn't a lamb in the classroom, I finally had to pick her up to force her to leave.

By the time we got to the car she was pretty upset. I kept asking her why she thought there was a lamb in the classroom and she finally "explained" herself.

Mary had  little lamb, little lamb, little lamb. Marry had a little lamb his fleece was white as snow.
He followed her to school one day, school one day, school one day.....................

Oh my goodness! The mind of a two year old!

Now For the Outtakes

Alright, I'll be honest...... We didn't get the perfect shot right away for all the pictures I used in my last blog post.

It took us a couple shots each time.

Did you know how difficult it is to get five people to jump in the air at the same time?

Or for the photographer to snap it at the right time?

What happens when you have five 40 somethings stack up on top of one another?

 They all fall down.

 And laugh hysterically.

I think Jodi is genuinely scared at the top of that ladder and for some reason I think it is sooooo funny.

 Look at the camera Kathy.....

Trying to "be serious" is a difficult task.

We have about 100 more of these. All that work to get just a few great shots.
But it was all worth it. I think laughing is what keeps us all so "young"......
at heart anyway.

Together Again

Twenty eight years ago this group of ladies all stood up in my wedding. We went to High School together so there isn't much we don't know about each other. Even though we don't see each other very often we try to get together at least once a year.....and what a good time we have!

Here are our pictures from last year.

I did say we like to have fun.

 Major giggles going on here.

At least we know we are all growing older together.....

I can't wait until next year. Love you girls!

Sprinkler Fun

What do we do on hot summer days without a pool?  We get out the sprinkler and have some fun!         ...
