Disco Cures Cancer

Last Friday night we went to a fundraiser called "Disco Cures Cancer." We had never heard about it but I guess this was their 11th year. I can't believe we've missed them. We got a group of friends together, ordered costumes from the internet, and set out for a great time. Here we are all ready to go and trying to set the tone for the night.

Then we had to stop and pick up Todd at his house. The guys had to pose with him too.

Disco Cures Cancer

We had the best time, dancing the night away. We actually knew most the songs. This one is when

"Dancing Queen"

was playing, I love that song. Brian wasn't used to his "fro" and kept getting it in everyone's face.

This was held at the Rothschild Pavillion. It is a pretty big place and it was packed. It was a great time and we plan on going again next year. We sure would like to have a bigger group next time. (hint, hint)

Vacation at the Cabin

Here's Felicity helping me to pick out lunch at Famous Daves.
She sure smiles a lot lately. All you have to do is look at her and she smiles, most of the time.
Here is a precious picture of Grandpa and Felicity I love how their blue eyes show up so much on this picture. I knew it would take long for her to get him wrapped around her tiny fingers.
Do you think she looks a bit like Daddy?

Vacation at the Cabin

By Saturday we had 12 adults and 8 kids at the cabin, and of course that is the day it rained. Here's Tammy trying to keep some of them busy, with all things to play with...... playdoh.
Bless her heart.
I took this picture of the room full of people. You really can't see everyone on this picture but it was madness. So much for relaxation for this day.
Searching for more golf balls.........
And more searching...........
Finally..................Cole looking for them himself.

Vacation at the Cabin

Here's Kylee looking for more golf balls. I think we should have sent Cole in to get them himself.

This was at the Muskie Museum place. The museum part was pretty boring for Casey and me so we found our own entertainment. Here she is making friends with the ape man.
Then we went outside and she caught this huge fish. I don't know if you can see her face real well on this picture, but it is priceless.
I love this picture of Kylee and her Daddy. They were talking and watching the boats. We spent a lot of time out on this deck. The weather was beautiful. It only rained one day.

Vacation at the Cabin

We took a week's vacation and rented a cabin in Hayward. This is the second year we have done this in September. The cabin's a half price and we love the fall colors. No swimming but the rest of it makes up for that. We just love the quality time we get with our family and friends when we are there. This picture is from the first night there. Only Cole, Tracy, Felicity, Brian, and I went for the first two night. We took Felicity out on the deck overlooking the lake, it was beautiful. We enjoyed the quiet time, knowing the rest of the week would be full of action and activities.
Andy and Kylee can always be found together when he is around. She loves to be with him and doesn't get to see him much since he is gone out of town all week for work.
Cole was hitting golf balls from the shore into the lake. We all took turns walking around in there fetching balls. You could walk way out into the water, it was that shallow, crystal clear, sandy bottom, and COLD!
We went to the Muskie Museum. I didn't really like it up in this fish, it moved too much for me.
We ate a couple times at the original Famous Daves restaurant. The food is great and you sure left there feeling full. Here is Jordan, Kylee, and Casey riding the merry go round. Casey is still a kid at heart.

Sprinkler Fun

What do we do on hot summer days without a pool?  We get out the sprinkler and have some fun!         ...
