I Hope You Haven't Forgotten
I hope you haven't forgotten about me. I've been pretty scarce in blogland the past few months. I guess I am just busy spending time with my family and friends.
Our three little grands are growing up way too fast, I'm sure you all feel the same way about your own children/grandchildren. Where do the years go? I feel like our own kids were this little just a couple years ago.
Since I've been on here last I've had a bit of a change in my life. I now have a job for the first time in about 20 years. It is a part time secretary at our church. So far I am really enjoying getting out and mingling with our fellow church family.
I've also been digging in lots of dirt the past couple months. We've had a super early warm spring this year. Our garden was planted a few weeks earlier than normal and I already have all my flowers planted for the summer. I'M LOVIN' IT! I could totally handle 3-4 month winters but I know that's just dreaming. Winters in Wisconsin are usually very loooooong.
I hope you have all been enjoying every minute that you can with your family and close friends. Take time to soak those little ones in....they will be grown before you know it.

Confused Mother...
Nature that is...
Ice fishing is one of Brian's favorite things to do. And since I won't go with him (because I am a total cold weather wimp) he gets to spend his fishing time with his dad, friends and now his little Jack.
Super Cuteness
This pic doesn't have anything to do with ice fishing or our unbelievable warm weather but I just couldn't resist showing it to you all.
The past week has been extremely warm here. Our "normal" temperatures in March are 40s and maybe a 50 once in a while. But this year....70s in March! This is May weather for us. I feel like we are going to still get one more big snow storm. Our snow is completely gone and I've turned off the heat and the windows have been open every day. This is absolutely unreal but this warm weather girl is lovin' it!

Daddy's Toys
Since three of the four kids around here are girls,
Jack seems to be "forced" into playing dress up and dolls.
I actually kept some of Andy's favorite toys from when he was little.
Jack has to get this barn and tractors out whenever he comes to play.
There's just something about a pudgy little hand.......♥
There are so many similarities between Andy and Jack.
Sometimes it gives me flashbacks to 23 years ago.
I guess that means I'm only 25 years old on those days!
No wonder I love having him around.
Awesome.

Papa's Girls
His little girls smile at him
with unbridled joy
just cause it's him.
They don't care if he's old
or grey, or creaks a little
when he walks up the stairs.
They think he's funny
when he's just goofy.
And they play horsey
with a guy who is slow to get up
let alone catch a little girl.
They play games
and they snuggle with him.
Cause they love him
and he loves them.
They run to him when there's trouble
with Mom or Dad.
Though he won't interfere
it's nice to know
they think he might.
They like him to read them books
and he likes it too.
Because he loves books
and them.
They claim "his chair" as theirs
because all he has belongs to them
and we all know that.
They spill stuff
they break things
they're often noisy
don't always mind
sometimes sassy
and make him wonder
why he ever cared
about any of that.
His daughter was his sun
and moon and stars
rolled up into one.
And she still is
because of two little girls.

A Little Ketchup
Oh... I meant "Catch Up"
Since I've been away from the blogging world for way too long, here are a couple pics to try to get back on track. I didn't realize how far behind I've gotten. So much has happened since I blogged in mid November.
This picture of Hadalye is from November 8th....before we got dumped on with our first snow.
I love this one of Brian and his truck.
There was nothing special going on this day. I just love the picture.
I found this one at Kohls....on sale....extra 30% off....Kohl's bucks....and free shipping.....
I only paid $120 for it! The best deal of 2011!

You jump out of the truck, (with no jacket, wearing your Daddy's hat, and no shoes) to take a picture in the beautiful forest. Wait........
