It's one of my favorite places in the world.
People beep and wave all the time when they see us sittin' here. We don't usually know who they are but that doesn't matter. That's what folks do around here.
Sometimes I wonder if they think that's ALL we do......

So true......I think people who don't live here and can experience that are really missing something special. We feel the same way about our screen porch. I don't think we even use the living room all summer long. btw....sittin' in there drinkin' coffee right now!

ReplyDeleteI love sitting on our front porch! My parents gave us their old Cracker Barrel rockers. Almost everyday I rock Breeley to sleep out here.

First of all, gorgeous front porch!!! and second, I love places like that! When people can beep and wave and they don't even know you, now that's friendly!! It's not like that here in Colorado, but it is back home in Texas! I miss the friendly people!!

ReplyDeleteI love our front porch but we don't use it like we should. It is so hot outside most of the days/nights and we tend to be busy getting stuff done. I do sometimes block off the steps and sit out with Andrew and the dog.

No one around here has a front porch. Where I grew up, my memaw had a front porch that wrapped around one side of the house and a bench swing and a few chairs. We loved to sit out there and drink a coke or watch the cars go by.

My favorite spot is my deck. Though I can't see my neighbors and the traffic, I can listen to the birds and the quiet. It's so peaceful there.
