This was Halloween in 197?. I am the good looking chick with the big black beard. I guess we were pretty creative with costumes "back in the day." Although it looks to me like Connie and DiAnn's mom made them some cute clown suits. I am not sure what Patti is supposed to be....

I love your photos! You and your Hubby seem like a nice couple...he looks especially hugable! lol Don't you love old pics? I post one on my blog every Thursday (Throwback Thursday). This week, I got confused as to what day it was (happens when you're retired or in the early stages of Alzheimers)and I posted Throwback Thursday on Friday! Just stopping in from SITS to say hi; hope you will do the same.
ReplyDeleteWhoa..that's crazy! THe beard looks good on ya!
ReplyDeleteIf my memory is correct, which belive me is rare, I think I am an Indian woman and I had a pillowcase staped onto my back with a baby doll in it. What fun we had when we were kids!!
ReplyDeleteToo funny!!! I have to agree with the clown outfits..very cool!
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend Jules!
Oh my, that made me laugh so hard. Wonder what the thought process was to have you land on that costume?!
ReplyDeleteOh, my goodness, is that ever funny!!! Yep...costumes were pretty creative back then. I remember throwing a large paper sack over my body, writing big numbers on the front of it, putting on my brother's football helmet...and I was a football player. GOOD TIMES! :)
ReplyDeleteLet me tell you back then I was so mad that mom always had to sew our costumes and we look so different from all the other kids that had to use their imagination. I never got to smear lard on my face and cover it in coffee grounds.... mom just whipped up a beard on her sewing machine. URGHHHHH Now that I'm much older I realize how much effort that was to sew all 11 of us a costume just so we looked good on Halloween. Thanks for the memories.
ReplyDeleteLove ya, Connie
