Last night we got home from Eau Claire to find we had no electricity. We called everyone around us and they had power. What? The first thing going through my mind is "Oh my! Did I forget to pay the bill?" I knew for sure that wasn't the case......maybe.
It turned out the cable running into our house was shot. They worked until 11:30 last night running a temporary cable on top of the ground. It's a little freaky having that big cable just laying across our front lawn. It looks like our house is "plugged in"
Our phone line is also not working. If you need to get a hold of us before Monday you'll have to call our cell phones.

Ring ring ring.... Hello, Jules. Dat you? Hey, just calling to let you know that your house is plugged in. Ya, either that or someone is stealing your electricity cuz there's a big goofy looking cable across your lawn. I think they're sucking all the power from your house, like maybe aliens did it. Okay... gotta go now but just wanted you to know. Bye.

ReplyDeleteWe are so spoiled having the lights come on with the flip of a switch. Sometimes those times can be used to get back to the basics. Just make an adventure of it.
